Are you a Civil Engineering graduate looking to build a career in flood risk, drainage and water management?

An established specialist consultancy is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their Flood Risk and Drainage team in Lichfield. You''ll work on a varied range of projects designed to reduce flood risk, improve resilience and provide practical engineering solutions.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you''ll gain experience across:

• Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Surface water and foul drainage design
• Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Flood alleviation and drainage schemes
• Hydrological and hydraulic calculations
• Flood modelling and analysis
• Site surveys and inspections
• Developing and assessing engineering design options
• Producing technical reports, drawings and project documentation
• Supporting projects through to construction
• Working with clients, local authorities, contractors and other stakeholders

The role will give you a good mix of office and site-based work, with the opportunity to get involved in different areas of flood risk management rather than being limited to one type of project.

We''re looking for a Civil Engineering graduate who:

• Has a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Has a genuine interest in flood risk, drainage and the water environment
• Enjoys solving engineering problems and developing practical solutions
• Has good numerical, written and communication skills
• Is keen to gain hands-on site experience
• Is organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Has a full UK driving licence or is working towards one

Previous experience with drainage design, flood risk, hydraulic modelling, GIS or relevant software would be useful, but isn''t essential.
