Technical Systems Analyst

OverviewWe\''re looking for an experienced Technical Systems Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in delivering high-impact technology solutions across the business. This is a critical role within our cross-functional delivery squads, where you\''ll serve as a technical SME, liaising between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects and enhancements aligned with Aspen\''s strategic goals. You\''ll be responsible for eliciting and documenting technical requirements, managing technical specifications, analysing cross-squad impacts, and supporting systems through the full project lifecycle - from conception to post-implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, Architects, and Development teams to support delivery from initiation through to BAU.
Gather, document, and manage technical and business requirements to a high standard using industry best practices.
Conduct cross-squad impact analyses to assess dependencies, risks, and costs of upcoming changes.
Capture and analyse business processes (as-is/to-be) and manage product backlogs in Agile environments.
Communicate effectively between business and technical teams, often acting as a liaison or proxy Product Owner.
Support and coordinate UAT activities and contribute to change readiness planning.
Proactively contribute to continuous improvement of IT delivery practices, tools, and methodologies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
What You\''ll Bring, Knowledge and Skills
Deep understanding of business analysis and systems analysis principles.
Knowledge of software development lifecycles, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and DevSecOps practices.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps, TFS, or JIRA.
Solid programming or scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Java, .NET).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience
5+ years in systems analysis with successful project delivery experience.
5+ years in the insurance industry (PandC strongly).
Experience working with cloud-based solutions (preferably Azure).
Familiarity with system integrations, data migrations, and multi-vendor environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor\''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., BCS, ISEB, CBAP) or relevant technologies are desirable.
