Payroll Officer
We are currently partnering with a leading educational body based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a 6 month temporary basis.This is a full-time position that''s due to start as soon as possible, so we are ideally looking for candidates available to start in the next two weeks. There is hybrid working with office presence required on Mondays, Tuesdays and FridaysDuties will include (but are not limited to):Processing end to end payroll for c.2,500 members of staff, across two payrolls, on a monthly basisChecking payslips, processing starters and leavers and dealing with net to net comparisons Completing monthly payroll reconciliations Ensuring a timely and accurate payroll process while the organisation completes and ongoing pensions projectResponding to and resolving payroll related queries Experience required:Experience working within a local authority or educational body is desirable but not essentialSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) desirableRewards and benefits:Hybrid workingWorking hours35 hours per weekPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
