Estimator | 2 Year Contract

Duration: 2 years

A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for a Civils Estimator to join its team on a major UK airport framework. This is a 2 year contract on a long-term capital programme of civils and infrastructure works.

The role

• Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for civils packages
• Build up rates from first principles, using supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Review drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
• Run subcontractor enquiries and tender comparisons
• Work with planners, commercial and delivery teams to price buildable, deliverable solutions
• Support change control, variations and cost forecasting through the contract

About you

• Proven estimating experience in civils or infrastructure
• Experience in a live operational environment (airports, rail or highways) is desirable
• Strong knowledge of estimating software and rate build-ups
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferred
