We are seeking a professional who specialises in formwork and structural timber, prioritising precision and structural integrity in a fast-paced environment.Comprehensive Role SpecificationThe successful candidate will be responsible for the construction and installation of formwork to hold setting concrete. Key responsibilities include: Formwork Fabrication: Building and assembling timber or metal shutters, including specialised pans and systems for walls, columns, and slabs. Reading Blueprints: Interpreting detailed technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate placement of formwork. Structural Support: Installing internal bracing, tie-rods, and shoring to ensure formwork remains rigid and secure during the concrete pour. Detailing: Creating precise openings for doors, windows, and service penetrations within the shuttering. Striking and Cleaning: Carefully removing formwork once concrete has set (striking) and maintaining equipment for future use.
