£34,000 Derby - Hybrid Permanent We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries, taking ownership of month-end processes, management accounts, reconciliations and financial analysis. This is a varied role offering exposure tobudgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and business partnering. You will work closely with finance and operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight, improve processes and support effective business decision-making. Main Duties and Responsibilities Manage the month-end close and prepare accurate, timely management accounts for assigned subsidiaries. Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Analyse financial performance against budget, prior month and prior year, providing clear commentary on variances, trends and key cost drivers. Maintain the fixed asset register and support VAT, stock accounting, reconciliations and year-end audit preparation. Support budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow forecasting, working closely with the Finance Business Partner and operational teams.
