Our client is a successful manufacturing business looking for a motivated and driven buyer to join their procurement team to work in a team of buyers.
Based near the New forest, they are building a successful commercially minded buying team.
Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for a buyer who enjoys thinking outside the box, takes real pride in their work and is keen to identify opportunities for process improvement. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, who likes the buying team to take real ownership of their categories, implementing ideas and using logic in decision-making. If you are looking for a role where you can really make it your own and have freedom to be commercially minded, then this is a great role for you.
What you''ll need to succeed
You will need to have at least 2 years experience in a procurement role.
Have a passion for procurement and enjoy working within a team
Excellent communication skills and enjoy supplier relationship management
A strong understanding of EXCEL and the ability to manipulate data - V look-ups and pivots are a bonus or a willingness to learn.
A logical approach to problem-solving
A commercial mindset
