Role Overview

As a Front End Developer at Gizmo, you''ll report directly to the Founders and play a key role in shaping the product experience for our rapidly growing user base. While you''ll be comfortable working across the full stack, your focus will be on delivering world-class frontend experiences that make learning intuitive, playful, and engaging.

You''ll work closely with our wider engineering team to build, test and ship features that bring our vision to life. You''ll be joining a fast-paced, collaborative team during an exciting stage of growth, with plenty of opportunity to make a significant impact and grow alongside us as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain and own user-facing features with a focus on performance, usability, and delightful interactions across web and mobile platformsCollaborate closely with designers and product managers to translate Figma designs and product requirements into functional, high-quality codeOwn features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation to release, iteration, and ongoing improvementParticipate in code reviews, technical planning, and team stand-ups, helping us maintain a high engineering standardWhile frontend will be your focus, you''ll also work on back-end services and APIs when needed

Requirements

Strong frontend focus and experience building projects end-to-end. You have a sharp eye for UX, accessibility and performanceYou are skilled with React, TypeScript and TailwindPreference (not essential) for proficiency in Python and Postgresql.Comfortable working with APIs and contributing to back-end logicDriven by impact - you prioritise work that moves the needleSelf-starter with a maker mindset.
