We are seeking a compassionate, committed Care Practitioner to join our children s residential home, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential. This role is central to delivering high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations, the Children Act 1989, and Every Child Matters. Key Responsibilities As a Care Practitioner, you will: Provide high-quality physical, emotional, social, and cultural care tailored to each child s individual needs Promote independence and life skills such as communication, self-care, cooking, and daily routines Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent, positive role model Support children through challenging behaviours using calm, trauma-informed approaches Safeguard children at all times and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment Monitor health, wellbeing, behaviour, and development, reporting concerns appropriately Assist with medication administration in line with policies and training Support education, leisure, and community-based activities Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports, reviews, and care planning meetings Advocate for children and actively involve them in decisions about their lives and futures Work collaboratively with families, social workers, teacher
