We''re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Lune Gorge team based in Cumbria. Location: Lune Gorge, CumbriaHours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Quantity Surveyor, you''ll be working within the Lune Gorge team, supporting them in delivering commercial excellence across the project. Assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety. This is a predominantly site-based role where you''ll play a key part in the commercial success of the project. Your day to day will include: Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts Providing commercial expertise including production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring and contract performance data Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks Managing and developing more junior members of the team Maximising cash flow through control, measurement and valuation of work, and invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers What are we looking for?
