We are seeking a Technician to assist staff and students in a wide range of art and design activities in our 3D workshops. This will include preparation, monitoring and maintenance of equipment and materials and assisting with demonstrations of equipment and processes. You would be responsible for maintaining and providing basic servicing for woodworking and metalworking machinery, assisting with demonstrations including CAD/CAM machinery and software and operating and maintaining laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC router. You will also supervise classes of learners in Active Learning Facilitator sessions in the teaching areas. You should possess a qualification in Art and Design and will ideally have some experience in an art and design related role, with a particular focus on 3D work, and will need experience of using 3D equipment/machinery including a laser cutter. You should also have excellent communication skills, be flexible and have enthusiasm for working with young people in a creative environment.
