HGV Class 2 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy, well-established client based in Swindon. Shifts • Monday to Friday• Start times between 04:30 - 06:00, working until job finish Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour Benefits • Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing work with potential to become permanent following a qualifying period• Weekly pay - PAYE• On-site canteen Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Carrying out deliveries to businesses and building sites• Operating and driving curtain-side Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently• Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle checks• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations• Adhering to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly• Assisting with loading and unloading when required (heavy lifting may be involved) Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • Minimum of 12 months'' experience driving Category C vehicles• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)• Excellent punctuality and time-keeping• Good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations Desirable Experience •
