Our client is a leading financial institution, committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and governance. They are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to fill the role of Director, Compliance & Control Manager.

Role Overview:

As the Director, Compliance & Control Manager, you will oversee the Compliance function for our client''s Dublin Branch. You will be responsible for executing the compliance plan, ensuring all business conducted aligns with regulatory permissions, and acting as the primary contact with the Central Bank of Ireland. Your expertise will guide the operational business areas in navigating compliance requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance Oversight: Lead and develop the Compliance Function, ensuring the team has the necessary expertise to meet compliance requirements.
• Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the branch''s point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland, managing regulatory correspondence and coordinating supervisory visits.
• Compliance Plan Implementation: Contribute to the establishment and execution of the overall compliance plan for the branch.
• Advisory Role: Provide compliance advice to senior management and teams, aiding in the assessment of regulatory risks and compliance challenges.
• Team Management: Oversee the Dublin Compliance team, ensuring effective testing of controls and timely resolution of compliance issues.
• Data Protection Lead: Act as the Data Protection Lead, addressing privacy issues and coordinating with local supervisory authorities.
• Governance Contribution: Engage in legal entity committees, fostering a strong governance culture and identifying key risks.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance programmes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management and regulators.
• Experience in team management and development.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations and practises.
