My client, a growing Design and Build contractor, is looking for a Design Manager or Coordinator with Design Management experience to join their expanding business for projects in the East of England, East Midlands and Home Counties areas.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing external consultants engaged in architectural and engineering design for Design and Build projects -in the Industrial/Commercial, Education and Care Home sectors with project values up to -20 million.

They undertake a range of mainly new-build projects and are currently very busy in the care and retirement home sector so experience in these types of contracts will be advantageous but other multi-room environments such as student accommodation, retirement villages etc will be relevant.-

Experience with a Design and Build contractor is preferred but someone who has worked in a design practice and been closely involved with the D&B process will also be of interest.-

Whilst their office is in Northamptonshire -most of their work is to the south of there so a home location in Northants, Beds, Cambs, Herts will enable you to visit projects from home.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience but they envisage paying between -70-80k plus car or allowance, pension, bonus.-This is a permanent staff position but freelance will be considered.
