Build the right foundations for the future success of local government in West Sussex. Ensure a safe, legal and well-planned transition to the new operating model, minimising service disruption and maintaining a focus on improved outcomes and long-term sustainability. Set and maintain the strategic roadmap, critical path and milestones. Translate political ambition into deliverable and measurable plans. Implement strong governance structures. Ensure all legal and constitutional elements required for LGR are prepared. Build effective working relationships with Leaders, Members and Chief Executives. Oversee communications and engagement with residents, partners, staff and unions. Lead organisational development and workforce transition including TUPE. Hold accountability for the programme budget and benefits case. Ensure safe service continuity planning across all services. Approved, costed and time-bound implementation plan.
