Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of project costs from inception through to final account.
• Support the preparation of valuations, variations, cost reports, and forecasts.
• Help manage subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Assist with procurement and commercial administration.
• Monitor project expenditure and support cost control activities.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to support successful project delivery.

About You

• Degree qualified, studying towards, or interested in pursuing a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within construction or civil engineering is desirable.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Keen to learn and progress within a commercial role.
