One day you could be coordinating planned facilities activity, the next responding to an unexpected plant or building issue where production needs a solution quickly.A big part of the position is making sure outside contractors can come onto site and complete work safely. You''ll be the person who understands what needs doing, challenges the proposed approach where necessary and makes sure the right controls are in place before work begins.You''ll also coordinate an outsourced technical resource, adjusting support around the changing demands of the site rather than simply following a fixed maintenance schedule.There''s a much bigger opportunity behind the day job too.
