They are looking for teaching assistants to join their vibrant school community.The school is a mainstream primary school with an Additional Recourse Provision (ARP) for students that have a diagnosis of Autism. There are 6- 8 students per class ranging from year 1 to year 6.More information:The roles are full-time 5 days per week (term time only)Trials will be held week commencing 1st September, with immediate start if successful at the trial1 year contract until July 2026 As a teaching assistant supporting with Autism, you will:Support the development of communication skills using alternative communication methodsSupport with the development of speech and languagePromote an inclusive and encouraging learning environment that supports the student''s social interaction and integration with peersImplement positive behaviour support plans and strategies agreed with SENCOs and therapistsUse de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely and calmlyHelp deliver differentiated lessons and activities tailored to pupils with AutismEncourage and model effective communication, helping students initiate and respond appropriately About you:Relevant experience supporting children with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or relevant special education
