Job Title: Carpenter (Second Fix & Flat Roof Work)

Location: Walsall

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Approx 4 weeks but potential for ongoing

Rate: Competitive hourly/daily rate (Dependent on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Carpenter for a contract on a project based in Walsall.

This role requires a skilled tradesperson capable of handling both structural carpentry and high-quality internal finishes. You will be splitting your time between structural works and standard second-fix internal installations.

• Roofing Works: Installing structural roof joists and laying flat roof decking to architectural specifications, ensuring solid structural integrity and correct falls.

• Second Fix Works: Installing internal doors, ironmongery, skirting boards, architraves, and other finishings to a high standard of workmanship.

• Site Safety: Working safely at height and following all site-specific health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

• Qualifications: Valid CSCS Card is mandatory.

• Certifications: Must hold Working at Heights and Asbestos Awareness certificates. (Note: If you do not currently hold these, they can be completed quickly online prior to the start).

• Tools: Must have your own full kit of professional carpentry tools (both first and second-fix tools) and full PPE.

• Experience: Proven track record in both structural roofing and internal second-fix carpentry.
