We''re recruiting for an established engineering and manufacturing business in the Colchester area, looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a small, friendly technical team. You''ll be responsible for developing bespoke jigs, fixtures, tooling and machinery to solve real production challenges. Some projects will be relatively simple mechanical solutions, while others will involve automation, robotics and component handling systems. You''ll take projects from concept and CAD through to prototyping, testing and implementation, working alongside production, electrical and software engineers. We''re looking for: Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production environmentStrong 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks preferredExperience designing machinery, tooling, jigs or fixturesGood understanding of manufacturing and engineering principlesA practical, creative approach to problem solvingAn interest in automation and developing new manufacturing processesGood communication and teamwork skills Experience working with small or delicate components would be advantageous.
