We are working with an established National Tier 1 main contractor looking to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to join its London construction business.The contractor has a strong pipeline of projects circa £200M across commercial offices, healthcare and technically complex buildings, with an opportunity to work on significant schemes from pre-construction through to delivery. They also have a number of Data Centre projects.The business has experience delivering major London projects involving complex building services, refurbishment, fit-out and technically demanding construction environments. You will take responsibility for the design process from initial enquiry and tender through PCSA, pre-construction, construction, completion and handover.Key responsibilities will include: Leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants. Developing and managing the project Design Management Plan. Coordinating design programmes, Employers'' Requirements and design deliverables. Managing architectural, structural, civil and MEP design interfaces. Ensuring design information meets programme, cost, quality, contractual and buildability requirements. Chairing design reviews and driving resolution of technical and coordination issues. Leading buildability, value engineering and design-risk reviews. Managing BIM and information requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with commercial, planning, construction and other teams. ..... full job details .....
