An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Security and Operations Administrator to join a leading higher education institution on an interim basis. This role will support the day-to-day delivery of IT services across the organisation, ensuring systems, infrastructure and user services remain secure, efficient and operational. The successful candidate will act as the on-site point of contact for IT support, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve technical issues, maintain system performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT operations. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary on-site administrator for IT support and operational services across the organisation Provide first-line and second-line technical support to staff and users across the business Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls within Active Directory, Azure AD and other systems Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues in a timely manner Monitor IT systems and proactively identify potential issues to minimise service disruptions Support the administration and maintenance of Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems Maintain and troubleshoot IT hardware including desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices Assist with the administration of network infrastructure including switches, routers, VPNs and wireless networks Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls including antivirus solutions, ..... full job details .....
