My client is seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to join their growing sales team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys generating new business, managing customer relationships and taking ownership of the full sales cycle.

Combining office and field-based responsibilities, the successful candidate will manage their own geographical territory, build a strong sales pipeline and work closely with an established telesales function to maximise opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned geographical territory
• Generate leads through proactive outbound business development activity
• Attend customer meetings to understand requirements and present appropriate solutions
• Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and convert opportunities into sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers
• Manage and grow a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within the CRM system
• Collaborate with telesales and wider sales colleagues to maximise business opportunities
• Work towards agreed sales targets and performance objectives

• Previous experience in business development, field sales or B2B sales
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to winning new business
• Experience presenting solutions, preparing quotations and closing sales
• Organised with strong administrative and CRM skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated territory

• -35,000 - -40,000 basic salary + commission structure + company fuel card
• Combination of office and field-based working
• Ownership of a geographical sales territory
• Support from an established sales team and growing telesales function
