Trainee Mechanical Inspector-

Location: Near Uxbridge, Middlesex
Salary: -29,000 Starting Salary
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Early Finish Friday)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Syntech Recruitment is recruiting for a Trainee Mechanical Inspector to join a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer near Uxbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in engineering quality inspection. Full training will be provided, working alongside experienced inspectors to develop skills in engineering drawings, precision measurement and component inspection.

Previous inspection experience is not essential, although an interest in engineering or manufacturing and excellent attention to detail are important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn to inspect precision-machined engineering components.

• Develop skills using measuring and inspection equipment.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Check components against dimensional and quality requirements.

• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation.

• Record inspection activities using SAP.

• Work alongside experienced inspectors and production teams.

• Follow company quality and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing or quality inspection.

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.

• Good standard of education, including Maths and English.

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and undertake structured training.

• Previous manufacturing or engineering experience advantageous but not essential.

• Ability to read engineering drawings desirable but not essential.
