Reporting directly to the Director of Environment and Highways, this senior position is pivotal in shaping and delivering sustainable environmental initiatives across the community.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of environmental services, ensuring alignment with council priorities and sustainability goals.Manage budgets effectively to optimize resource allocation and service delivery.Lead and improve operational areas including waste management, waste collection, street cleansing, transfer stations, Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC), grounds maintenance, minor highway repairs, fleet and plant management, parks and open spaces, allotment services, cemeteries and crematoria, and recycling initiatives.Drive environmental sustainability efforts by promoting eco-friendly practices and protecting natural resources.Supervise staff, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Candidate Profile:Proven leadership experience in environmental services or a related sector.Strong strategic thinking with excell
