The role:Managing, training and developing the Engineering TechniciansEnsuring all Health and Safety requirements are met within the Engineering DepartmentManage training of your team using a skills matrix and plan training to improve skill levels as needed.Lead the team by example, spending time with them on the job to pass on your knowledgeEnsure all works are to a good standard and your teams leave work areas in a presentable condition, and hand back forms are completed as required.Generate and deliver toolbox talks as requiredPlan work for your team utilising CMMS system and ensure your team complete reports as required.Manage breakdowns to ensure a satisfactory solution is found in a timely manner and external department heads are kept up to date.Manage financial and labour budgets and complete the necessary budget spreadsheets.Provide technical backup for day and shift engineers.Provide out of hours telephone support.Attend call outs when necessary.Generate / Revise PPM''s to better maintain equipment.Assist with Projects and generation of CEA/RFAs as required.Stand in for engineering managers and Head of Engineering as required.Manage contractors, ensuring their RAMS are correct before attending site, and work is completed to a good standard.Issue Permits where necessary and perform risk assessments as required to ensur
