The Opportunity: We are recruiting a Senior Application Support Developer for a public-sector organisation based in the Northwich area of Cheshire, for an experienced technical professional to take ownership of business-critical applications, integrations and data solutions, combining hands-on development with application support and technical delivery. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining and improving a range of business systems, ensuring they remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose. You will also provide technical leadership across developments and releases, work closely with stakeholders and suppliers, and help resolve complex technical issues. Role and Responsibilities: Design, develop, maintain and support complex business applications, integrations and data solutions. Lead technical workstreams, releases and significant system enhancements. Diagnose and resolve complex incidents, identify root causes and manage service risks. Develop and maintain APIs, database processes, automation and reporting solutions. Ensure secure development, application lifecycle management, monitoring, backup and recovery practices. Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge technical approaches where appropriate and recommend effective solutions.
