RURAL & AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR, 3+ PQE, CUMBRIA - A chance to build your practice in rural property law, working with landowners, farmers and landed estates across Cumbria.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a well-regarded regional practice in Cumbria. The role offers a varied mix of rural and agricultural property work alongside wider residential and commercial property matters, with the opportunity to develop strong relationships with clients across the region.

The Role

  • Advise on the sale, purchase, leasing and management of farms, land and rural estates.
  • Handle residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases and refinancing.
  • Deal with agricultural tenancies, rights of way, easements, covenants and other land-related issues.
  • Support clients with succession planning, estate diversification and development projects.
  • Work alongside colleagues in private client, corporate, real estate and other teams to provide a joined-up service.
  • Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and the growth of the practice.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Property Solicitors with 3+ years’ PQE and significant experience in property law. Experience of rural, agricultural or landed estate work would be particularly relevant, alongside a genuine interest in developing your career in Cumbria.

You’ll be confident dealing directly with clients, commercially minded and able to provide practical, solutions-focused advice. A proactive approach, strong technical ability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a close-knit team with the backing of an established regional firm, offering a supportive working environment and access to a wider network of legal specialists.

For a Property Solicitor who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to build their reputation in the Cumbrian market, this is an opportunity to develop a rewarding practice with plenty of variety.
