We''re looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Towcester, Northamptonshire. Location: Towcester, NorthamptonshireHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum depending on experience and qualifications We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highways maintenance team, where you''ll play a vital role in delivering essential carriageway, footway and drainage works across the local area. As part of a close-knit team, you''ll contribute to improving and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe. What will you be responsible for? As a Highways Operative, you''ll be working within the maintenance team, supporting them in delivering high-quality highway repairs and improvements. Your day to day will include: Operating light plant equipment including compressors, rollers, disc cutters and vibrating plates, whilst maintaining their daily upkeep Assisting skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying and surfacing works Excavating materials using hand and powered tools safely and efficiently General site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking and handling materials and equipment Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive working environment for all team members What are we looking for?
