Senior Engine Technician and Workshop Supervisor Location: HavantHours: 45 hours a week Monday-FridaySalary: 45,000 to 60,000 Role OverviewYou will lead the day-to-day operations of a busy engine shop specialising in classic car restoration, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to high technical standards. This includes overseeing workflow, supervising technicians, engaging with customers, and contributing directly to complex engine builds and mechanical projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage daily workflow across engine rebuild jobs.Plan labour and job schedules to meet project deadlines.Procure materials and coordinate with suppliers for timely parts availability.Liaise with adjacent machine shop teams to align project schedules.Oversee job documentation, job numbers, and accurate time recording.Provide professional progress updates and manage customer communications.Investigate and resolve any project issues or complaints with management.Promote a strong health and safety culture within the workshop.Support continuous improvement and maintain workshop standards.Required Skills and ExperienceStrong background in engine building, mechanical fitting, or engine overhauls.Proven experience in a workshop supervisor or team lead position.Project coordination or job scheduling experience in a mechanical environment.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Strong communication and customer service skills.Confident in multitaskin
