Supply Desk is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Uxbridge area, with an immediate start available.

The role will involve planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of Year 5 pupils, monitoring academic progress, and supporting pupils in reaching their individual learning goals. You will work closely with colleagues and school leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning, while contributing positively to the wider school community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing feedback to support continued development.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, confidence, and good behaviour.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils.
• Contribute to school activities, enrichment opportunities, and the wider life of the school.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and the welfare of all pupils.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons suited to Year 5 pupils.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• A passion for supporting children''s academic, social, and emotional development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and maintaining high safeguarding standards.
