Accountant

One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Accountant on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week. Overview: To work closely with the Finance Business Partner to oversee the South East Wales Corporate Joint Committees (SEWCJC) financial accounting, reporting and internal control environment, ensuring that all inputs to the General Ledger via its feeder systems are accurate and timely. Furthermore, to support the wider finance team, key internal and external stakeholders in respect of all accounting and reporting requirements. Responsibilties: To support the Finance Business Partner (FBP) in the annual budget setting process including the preparation of the Medium-Term Financial Plan for both Operational Budgets and the Wider Investment Fund (Revenue and Capital) To support the FBP in the preparation of the monthly board pack aimed at providing up to date information at Project, Programme and Portfolio levels to a range of internal and external stakeholders on all SEWCJC activity, as set-out in the Annual Business Plan.
