This role offers flexible remote working and the chance to handle a varied and interesting caseload within a supportive local government environment.Job Title: Civil Litigation SolicitorUmbrella Rate: £60-£65 per hourPAYE Inc Rate: £52.79 - £57.14Location: Dudley - RemoteHours: 4 days per weekDuration: Up to 6 monthsThe Role:The successful candidate will manage a broad civil litigation caseload on behalf of the Council, including: Landlord and Tenant litigation.Council tax recovery and litigation.Data protection and information-related claims.Boundary disputes.Vexatious complainants.Highways and pothole claims.General civil litigation matters. You will be responsible for conducting cases through to conclusion, including advocacy and representation in court, and providing clear, practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.About You Be a qualified Solicitor with significant civil litigation experience.Previous local authority experience is highly desirable.Comfortable representing the Council in court proceedings.
