Job OverviewWe are recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join a regional firm of Chartered Accountants based in Chesterfield. The role involves providing effective support to directors and managers, ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard, deadlines are met and strong client service is maintained. You will take responsibility for leading audit assignments and completing accounting work in line with the firm''s procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead audit fieldwork assignments, including planning, budgeting and organising work prior to commencementComplete audit testing on key risk areas and liaise with clients to resolve queries, escalating complex matters where requiredReview work completed by trainees to ensure it is ready for manager/director reviewWork to internal and external deadlines, ensuring files are completed to the required standardPrepare statutory financial statements (primarily under UK GAAP) and draft tax computationsProvide coaching and constructive feedback to junior team membersMaintain a high standard of client care and communicationAssist with billing processes and monitoring recoveriesEnsure compliance with the firm''s quality assurance proceduresIdentify opportunities for additional services and begin developing external networksSkills and ExperienceACA or ACCA qualifiedExperience planning and leading external audits within an accountancy practiceGood technical knowledge, including FRS 102 (Charities SORP experience beneficial)Prof
