Our client is a professional organisation with a busy transport / logistics team. They are looking for an experience Transport Planner who can accurately plan routes, liaise with drivers and customers and handle all customer service queries with confidence.Salary is circa £26,000 - £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus fantastic company benefits including an early finish on a Friday.8am - 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 2-30pm finish on a Friday. Duties involve:Booking in deliveries with customers, advising on delivery timescalesCo-ordinating delivery schedules for the driversMapping all driving routes General admin / telephone customer queries Liaising with internal logistics, transport and sales teamsChecking invoices for quantity and price Scanning all delivery notes onto the in-house systemArranging to send out goods by carrier companies if necessary You should have:A strong eye for detail / accuracyA good background working in a transport, export, logistics or similar customer driven administrative environment Strong IT skills including Word and Excel An excellent telephone manner, polite, friendly and informativeAn excellent working environment is provided within a highly reputable business with good benefits including an early finish on a Friday, free parking, good holidays and additional company benefits.
