Lab Technician

We're looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to join a dedicated team in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory environment. You'll play a vital part in ensuring our fasteners and materials meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

Working hands-on with test samples, you'll perform mechanical and metallurgical testing, generate accurate reports, and contribute directly to product certification and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

" Follow laboratory procedures in line with ISO 17025 and quality management systems.
" Review and prioritise testing requirements according to customer deadlines.
" Prepare and process samples for testing - including cutting, polishing, and grinding
" Perform a variety of tests such as tensile, Charpy impact, hardness, decarburization, microstructure, grain size, and inclusion evaluation.
" Conduct testing to internal and international (ASTM/ISO) standards.
" Accurately compile and report test results.
" Work independently to manage workload and meet deadlines.
" Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards within the lab.
" Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
" Participate in training and development to enhance technical skills.
" Carry out additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
