SEND Teaching Assistant Rayleigh, Essex Full-Time January 2027 We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic specialist school in Rayleigh, Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and wants a role where they can genuinely make a difference. The role: Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and additional needs Working both 1:1 and within small groups Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and development Helping pupils to engage positively with lessons and school life Providing consistent and positive support throughout the school day Working closely with teachers, other TAs and the wider school team Full-time position starting January 2027 We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people with SEND Is patient, positive and able to build strong relationships Is confident supporting pupils with a range of individual needs Has a calm and consistent approach Is reliable, enthusiastic and enjoys being part of a team Experience within a specialist school would be an advantage, but we are also interested in people from mainstream education, care, youth work or other SEND-related backgrounds who are looking to move into a specialist school.
