Sous ChefHastings 16.00 - 17.50 per hourFlexibility required to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.The Role:We have an amazing opportunity for a talented professional and passionate Chef to join a busy Hotel in Hastings. You will be supporting the head chef with leading a passionate kitchen team, creating fresh and innovative dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.The main duties include: Help organise and lead the busy catering team, ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided. Assist in creating innovative, seasonal menus Prepare and present food to the highest standard and quality. Maintain portion control and minimise waste to support financial goals. Assist with the ordering of stock. Ensure all legislation and procedures are adhered to.What exactly are we looking for? Food Safety Level 2 or 3 certification. Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Creative flair with a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative dishes.
